A person's life is a journey toward achieving their ideal values and lifestyle. The owner has a passion for collecting car models and caring for cats. To make the home more comfortable, he wanted the space to reflect a cozy and gentle atmosphere, which mirrors the effort people put into pursuing the highlights of their lives. The designer, considering the resident's habits, removed the dining area and entrance hall to maximize natural light. Soft, warm milky brown and curves create a tranquil space uniquely belonging to the owner, much like the comforting warmth of morning sunlight.
-Capturing interests and preferences
Interests are challenging to express directly; being too blunt can seem cliché while holding back feels embarrassed. Understanding that the owner had a low need for a dining area and considering the limited space, the designer repurposed the dining area into a display zone for collectibles. The transparent, curved cabinet serves as a home for these items and becomes the first visual experience upon entering the home. The curved edges on the walls enhance the sense of continuity and fluidity between areas.
-Envisioning everyday scenes
A home is where residents spend the most time. After understanding the owner's preferences, the designer crafted a soothing space, including a cat perch next to the sofa. While watching TV, the owner can also enjoy observing their cat lounging comfortably. Adjacent to the cat tree is a shoe cabinet with brown glass doors that enhance visibility. The shelves below are perfectly suited for placing a litter box. The interplay of light, breeze, and the cat's presence weaves a unique color into the living space, enriching the daily experience.
